満を持して発売。

アップルコンピュータは、フラッシュメモリ搭載の新型iPod「iPod shuffle」を発表した。512Mバイトと1Gバイトの2モデルがあり、1Gバイト版なら約240曲（約4分の楽曲を128KbpsのAACでエンコードした場合）を記録できる。価格は512Mバイト版の1万980円から。
